As promised during worship today, here is the sequence of pictures of the "Road to Emmaus" painted by artist Rev. Paul Oman during worship at the Ecofaith Summit in Duluth on April 18. The first picture is what he painted during worship. When finished, he turned it upside down and posed beside his finished painting of the Road to Emmaus. In this painting you can see clearly the houses of Emmaus in the background. Kudos to Blessing who saw the almost invisible houses in the Road to Emmaus painting that hangs over the welcome table at the parking lot entrance of the church. The Earth Day (Wed. April 22) protest referenced in my sermon will be at 10 am at the State Capitol and will address the April 16 vote of the United States Senate which took away the Biden Administration's ban on mining in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness watershed.
