YOUTH CAMP REGISTRATION BLITZ!
One of the highlights of last summer was the Youth Camp registration blitz, and the subsequent results. As you might recall, the challenge that was issued (to inspire registration) was that if a certain number of students registered by a specific date, various camp leaders would be required to dye their hair for summer camp.
In 2025, the goals were:
20 Students - Anna Belz-Brock (Youth Camp Coordinator) dyes her hair pink
30 Students - I, Dan Miglets-Nelson would dye my hair blue
40 Students - Rt. Rev. Craig W. Loya dyes his hair purple
By the deadline we had set, Anna and Dan were to fall "victim" to this, and in good spirits showed up to camp with colorful hair.
Unfortunately, we did not hit the goal of 40 students by the deadline set for the Bishop to have to dye his hair. But, we did hit that number, just not by the date, so Bishop Loya, being a good sport, dawned on a bright purple, Anime-style wig for the final evening of camp. While it was not a true shade of "bishop purple,” it was indeed a sight to behold!
This summer, we are setting down a similar, and larger challenge.
ECMN Youth Camp Registration blitz is underway!
Here are the rewards (if met by June 7).
25 students - Gabby Bizal (Youth Camp Associate) will be pied in the face by one lucky camper, determined by lottery
40 students - Dan Miglets-Nelson, will be "duct-taped" to the wall as a part of camp
55 students - Anna Belz-Brock (Youth Camp Coordinator) will let students dye her hair as part of camp
(Bishop Loya is on sabbatical, and will therefore not be part of this year's challenge)
Registration is open now! Ample Scholarships are available. Sign up today!
