Looking for a Gently Used Dining Room Table for a Family in Need

My name is Pam, and I’m the volunteer coordinator for Normandale House, a transitional housing program located in the Phillips neighborhood. For nearly 30 years, we’ve been walking alongside families experiencing homelessness or housing instability, helping them transition toward a stable and secure future.

We are excited to welcome a new family into one of our units—a place where they can begin a new chapter of safety and hope. To help make their space feel like home, we are looking for a gently used dining room table that seats six. This table will serve as a place where they can gather, share meals, and create meaningful connections in their new home.

If you have a table you’re willing to donate, please reach out and send a photo. Your generosity will make a big difference in helping this family start fresh in a place they can call their own.

Normandale House is one of the outreach and mission programs of Normandale Lutheran Church in Edina, where I am a member.

🎉 A Night of Gratitude and Community at Normandale House! 🏡

Last night, we came together to celebrate milestones, share stories, and enjoy the warmth of connection. From delicious sweet potato pie 🍠 (thank you, Rose McGee & Sweet Potato Comfort Pie) to crafts, storytelling, and a cozy supper, it was an evening filled with love and laughter.

We also said goodbye to one family moving to permanent housing 💛 and prepared to welcome a new family next week. Special thanks to all our volunteers, donors, and friends who make moments like these possible.

Looking for housing or know of a family in need of a place to call their own? Normandale Housing is accepting applications for families who are:

1. Single parent families with children up to age of 18
2. Family ready for the journey and ready to commit to the program and to transforming their and their children's lives.

What an incredible night at Normandale House! Our outdoor spaces are looking fantastic, and the "make-your-own pizza" dinner was a huge hit. A massive shoutout to D'Amico & Sons for their generous donation of pizza dough and to the amazing youth of Normandale Lutheran Church in Edina, our dedicated staff, and volunteers who made it all possible. Together, we created a night of fun, food, and community spirit. Thank you, everyone! 🍕✨

Normandale House is pleased to announce its hiring of Ms. Kamaria Toulon as our new Program Director!

Kamaria has a strong background and experience managing housing programs and working with individuals and families who are experiencing unstable housing. With a Master’s degree in Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Human Services and Disability Studies, Kamaria will oversee Normandale House’s growing transitional housing program and its family support services.

The entire Normandale House team is thrilled to have added Kamaria to our team!
