Today is National Ice Cream Sandwich Day.

We thought we would also take the opportunity to shout out Two Scoops Ice Cream Eatery in Saint Paul.

Find & Follow the Magi at Hennepin!
Sundays through January 2!

Fun for all ages! You are invited to come to Hennepin and look for the Magi as they journey East (throughout the building) all month long. Each Sunday, they will travel to new locations until they arrive in the Sanctuary on Epiphany Sunday (they will even make a guest appearance on Christmas Eve).

Pick up your passport at the Reception Desk so you can track their journey! Find them FOUR times and you can pick up a little prize!

Shoebox Christmas Gifts
Help Us Hit Our Goal of 200 Gifts!

Beginning September 12–October 24, we will be collecting donations to create Shoebox Christmas Gifts for Native American children and youth. This ministry is in partnership with the United Methodist Mission in Spirit Lake, ND where youth and adults from Hennepin have served in years past. Hennepin is joining several other United Methodist churches to collect donations for gifts for over 6,000 young people living on reservations in the Dakotas and Minnesota. Each shoebox will include an assortment of toys, winter gear, art supplies, and hygiene essentials. The cost to build each shoebox is $25. To sponsor Christmas Shoeboxes please click here: haumc.org/events

On November 6, Hennepin youth will join youth from all over the Twin Cities to pack the shoeboxes as a part of the Serve MSP Fall Day of Service. If you would like to donate toys, we will be collecting for infants through teenagers. These gifts can be dropped off in the donation bin in the East Entry or shipped directly to 511 Groveland Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55403.

Bible Milestone Event: Saturday, September 25th

United Methodist Women and Hennepin Kids for LYFE share in the privilege of supporting the faith development of our Hennepin Kids through bible presentations to our 3 year olds and our 3rd graders. This year's bible milestone event will include games and hands-on activities to help our kids and families engage together with their new bibles.

Our event will take place on Saturday, September 25 in the Ministry House Backyard, and a video of the event will be shared in Traditional Worship on October 10. Three year olds will meet at 10am and 3rd graders will meet at 1pm.
