New International friends took a photo together after a send off brunch for a parent visiting her son, an international student from China in ConneXions International (CXI) U of M Student Organization. Parents have been attending our CXI ESL classes, and activities led by Stadium Village Church and CXI volunteers.

As part of the Academy's October 19-21, 2017 Global Summit, the Academy is holding a free public event from 7 to 8:45 pm on Friday, October 20 at Knox International Center, 1536 W. Minnehaha Ave in St Paul. (near Hamline University) You will:
Meet many international Fellows, many of whom are former U of M Scholars who have returned to their home countries, seven of whom will be commissioned, and learn about some of their redemptive projects that are bringing Christ-honoring transformation in communities and regions throughout the world,
Hear Dr. Bob Osburn, the Academy's Executive Director, lecture on his five-part model for promoting Christian social transformation. This highly-original model is the result of decades of reflection on the scriptures and life, as well as hundreds of conversations with international scholars.

I am back From China where I and a team of 8 taught Intercomunicative English Teaching Skills, Activities and American Culture to Chinese Middle School Teachers in Changde, Hunan Province for one month. I also visited several returnees who studied in MN and their families. Thank you to all who encouraged, prayed for and sponsored me financially to experience the culture of the Chinese students, scholars and family members whom we are building relationships with every week through International Student Ministry at Stadium Village Church, Connexions International and African Christian Fellowship. So what are we doing now? Welcoming all the new students who have just arrived. Below is the video of our Chinese Welcome Picnic a few weeks ago!

CHINA TRIP UPDATE! Have my ticket, and visa is in process thanks to generous donors thus far, but still need to raise $2.500 more for expenses of this trip from June 24- August 11. I will be traveling to China as a volunteer to teach English Teachers of elementary, middle or high school students, the future generation of China! WILL YOU CONSIDER A DONATION?
