God of life and wholeness,
we come to You seeking strength for our bodies,
peace for our minds,
and rest for our spirits.

In moments of exhaustion, renew us.
In times of stress, steady us.
Where there is pain or discomfort, bring healing.
Where there is worry, bring calm.

Help us to care for ourselves with intention—
to listen to what our bodies need,
to move, to rest, to nourish,
and to honor the life You’ve given us.

Surround us with support, patience, and grace,
and remind us that healing is a journey, not a race.

May we walk each day with a sense of balance,
gratitude, and quiet strength,
trusting that we are held, restored, and sustained.

Amen.

God of new beginnings,
as winter loosens its grip and the earth wakes again,
we thank You for the soft return of light,
for longer days and gentler air,
for the first green pushing through tired soil.

Teach us to notice—
the small miracles we might otherwise pass by:
buds swelling on bare branches,
birds stitching morning with song,
the warmth of sun on skin after cold.

Remind us that beauty is not rushed—
it unfolds in its own time,
patient and persistent.
Help us to trust that same rhythm in our own lives.

May we walk gently in this season,
honoring the life around us,
receiving it with gratitude,
and offering back kindness, wonder, and care.

Let this spring not only change the world around us,
but renew something within us too.

Amen.

A Prayer for those that we have lost

Lord,
In the midst of loss and grief, draw near to us.
When words fail and hearts feel heavy, hold us in Your presence.

Comfort gently carry the weight we cannot bear on our own.
In moments of silence, remind us we are not alone.

Give us space to grieve honestly,
strength for each day as it comes,
and hope that even in sorrow, love remains.

Surround us with Your peace,
and light our way through the darkness.

Amen.

Lord,
Teach us to love our neighbor — not only in word, but in action.
Open our eyes to see their needs,
soften our hearts when it’s inconvenient,
and slow our steps when someone needs our time.

Give us courage to cross lines of difference,
patience when we disagree,
and kindness that reflects Your grace.

May our lives be marked by compassion,
and may those around us feel seen, valued, and cared for.

Amen.

Lord,

As snow covers our Minnesota roads, we ask for Your protection over every traveler.
Grant steady hands, clear minds, and patient hearts in difficult conditions.

Watch over families on their way, workers on their routes,
and all who serve in the cold to keep others safe.
Guide each journey, guard every path,
and bring us home safely through the storm.

Amen.

This week’s Writer’s Corner invites you to reflect on a single apple that refuses to fall — a quiet image of resilience, faith, and purpose in the middle of winter. 🍎❄️

What it means to endure change, to trust what sustains us, and wonder where meaning is found — even in the smallest things?
