Nokomis Heights Lutheran Church welcomes God's children from all communities to worship, study, and play. Our programs provide opportunities for neighborhood fellowship and ministry, for teaching and learning, for music and prayer. Our mission, to be a community of the cross called to confess hope in action, shapes how we worship and reminds us to carry out the work of God in all that we do. More

than just a place of worship, Nokomis Heights is a family. With educational opportunities for all ages every Sunday, community meals throughout the year, and constant opportunities to volunteer within and beyond our walls, NHLC is committed to strengthening our community and living out the Word of God. We are a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) Congregation and welcome le***an, gay, bisexual, and transgender people, their partners, and their families into full participation in the life and ministry of this congregation. Our mission partners: Trinity Lutheran, St. Peder's Lutheran, Community Emergency Service (CES), and Wapo Bible Camp.

This Sunday, August 16, we’ll gather at Diamond Lake Lutheran Church for a combined worship with New Creations Church of God in Christ, Diamond Lake Lutheran, and Nokomis Heights Lutheran at 10am. First Lady Brenda Granison from New Creations will preach, and we’ll have tacos afterward. We invite you to come and join with our larger community of faith. We are all better together!
