What You Shouldn't do Whenever You are ill!
It's always great to share the good works of God with friends and family people after your healing, whenever your are sick!
The worst, however, you or anyone can do is to post to social media, your hospitalized photographs, or videos (as some often do) and request for financial aid or prayers while you are still ill!
Why? That's because, not many of our friends (I saw received such unwarranted publicity including outstanding journalists) ever survived in the end and I shall tell later here why most probably died in the end.
Though posters (often friends or relatives of the ailing person) may do so out of pity and love but most may lack spiritual discernment. Hence, they post or advertise the ailing person's condition out of ignorance, giving the enemies more ground to fire!
Christians ought to understand that many of our illnesses (especially critical types) are connected to spiritual warfare, meaning, the more you announce the more you place the life of your loved ones in jeopardy, making it even more difficult to fight the battle!
When my wife, Martha and I chose to study Biblical Theology while still in the United States many of our friends often asked "why are you attending Bible College? Do you want to become a pastor?"
Our answers were always the same individually. "No, I want to know God's Kingdom for myself" rather than depend on the preaching of the church. And we meant it.
Standing before a congregation and adking for tithe and offering, for me as a shy person was the worst that could happen to me.
So, becoming a pastor was the lest on my mind and both of us went to school because we received scholarships partly too based largely on the LORD'S own calling on our lives through US Evangelist Rev. Dr. Judy Fornara.
No sooner this happened when our trials started to a point where the both of us became forced to resign our jobs due to illness, with Martha now taking a full care of me in and out of hospital throughout the US COVID era. A coincidence?
Well, God saw it all and He decided to prepare us ahead, sending us to a Seminary whete we we would get some of the best learning from World Religions to Spiritual Warfare!
But what if we weren't prepared for the battle ahead of us?
No, let's stop asking people on social media to pray for us when in critical condition; they will never help you in prayer because, everyone is too busy, and the unwarranted publicity only makes the battle harder for you.
Tell your friends and relatives not to post your ailing photographs next time, asking for prayers; they can privately connect and pray for you, outside of social media as God fights your battle and when it's over you can share the good news and praise God!
Thanks for reading!
Thank you Lord...
