Global Horizons Inc. (GHI)

Global Horizons Inc. (GHI) Global Horizons Inc. (GHI) is a Christian nonprofit serving as a fiscal sponsor for mission projects and missionaries.

GHI was created to help Christian mission leaders follow their passion for service, without the burden of filing for nonprofit status or setting up systems for bookkeeping and donation processing. By choosing to serve under our nonprofit we will take care of that for you. In addition to our partner projects, GHI board led initiatives include:
1. Ubuntu Training - offering faith-based racial recon

ciliation training to churches, schools, and community groups, locally in MN.
2. The Knowledge Box - making technology accessible to developing countries through low-cost devices. Mission Statement:
GHI works with compassionate leaders to restore communities through humility, justice, and faith in God. We serve to:
1) provide hopeful, efficient administrative support to projects and ministries, and
2) be a catalyst for racial reconciliation education and coaching. Testimonies:
“GHI has been instrumental in empowering ACT Worldwide to function effectively as a small consulting ministry. The receipting and accounting functions they provide is a huge help. I also appreciate the financial accountability and reporting that is required.” - Joe, GHI partner project leader.

“We couldn’t operate without their help in processing finances. It removes the accounting burden so we can fully focus on our ministry objectives. The staff is very dedicated.” - GHI partner project leader.

Partner Voices: Ronald

Meet Ronald Mazune Wetaka of Navigators Uganda, who played a key role in coordinating GHI’s East Africa Leadership Development Conference in Uganda.

In this video, Ronald shares about one of the conference highlights, a safari experience that provided ministry leaders with a rare opportunity to rest, reflect, and enjoy God’s creation. Many of the GHI partners commit their lives to service and ministry, pouring into the lives of others, but have not had the opportunity to see the natural beauty of their region. We felt this time of rest and rejuvenation was an important aspect of the conference.

Beyond his conference leadership, Ronald serves with Navigators Uganda, transforming communities through holistic development. Their Discipleship 4 Development (D4D) program trains communities to realize their strengths and use their abilities to grow and thrive.

Key aspects include:
• Guiding communities to identify and solve their own problems
• Promoting healthy homes
• Empowerment through self-income-generating activities
• Advancing agriculture production and food security
• Teaching youth life skills

Their programs are integrated with evangelism and discipleship for spiritual growth.

✨ Thank you, Ronald, for investing in leaders across East Africa and for sharing the D4D model with our partners. We also extend our appreciation to Bishop Sam Soita and the Navigators Uganda team for hosting the conference and welcoming us into your community!

Meet Pastor Sam Tsapwe, director of Jesus Film Ministries in Uganda, one of the participants at GHI’s East African Leadership Development Conference.

The conference was held in the eastern Ugandan city of Mbale from May 17-21, focusing on strategic planning, fundraising, governance, accountability, and compliance, equipping participants with practical skills they can apply directly to their ministry work.

Beyond learning from the speakers, the conference provided a space for local project leaders to collaborate, encourage one another, and share experiences.

We are grateful for the participants, both those local and others who traveled for many hours by bus and overseas to be part of the event!

Our week-long leadership conference in Uganda just wrapped up. 💫

This was an opportunity to bring together local GHI partners from Kenya, South Sudan, and Uganda for both training and sharing of ministry expertise, with the theme, “Rising Together: Leadership Rooted in Community”.

We are grateful for the 40 participants and GHI project leaders who shared their knowledge and spiritual gifts, forging partnerships that made this a powerful event.

A special thanks to Rev. Domnic Misolo for teaching perspectives and pathways for biblical gender equality. We also deeply appreciate Ronald Mazune for coordinating the conference logistics and event details in Uganda, and Dr. Anna Malaika Muchovich-Bera for her leadership in planning and serving as the GHI lead throughout the conference.

Thank you as well to Navigators of Uganda for graciously hosting the event, and to our board members who traveled to Uganda to serve during the conference: Rev. Dr. Leon Rodrigues, Dr. Nan Muhovich, and Prof. Colin Miller.

A visit to C4DMU’s project site. 🚐

As part of GHI’s East African Leadership Development Conference, Rev. James Akuwa, director of Collaborate 4 Development Mission Uganda (C4DMU), took our board on a tour of the ministry’s project site in rural Uganda.

C4DMU serves the community by operating 2 schools (primary - high school), a vocational school, and a medical clinic. They serve with faithful determination through the challenges of a rural setting, such as a lack of electricity and temporary facilities. Many of the students are orphans who have lost parents due to illness.

Despite these difficulties, C4DMU is transforming the community. They drilled a well, creating access to clean water and provide education and job skills to break the cycle of poverty, all rooted in sharing the hope of Christ. Their medical clinic is the only access to medicine, maternal care, and wellness for several communities.

Thank you to the C4MDU team for welcoming the GHI board to your community!
