A word from our chaplain:

“The number of people coming right now is incredible! We celebrated six more baptisms last night: 18 baptisms in just five weeks!

A new follow-up Bible study is beginning this Monday at 5pm. We are humbled and overwhelmed with gratitude for what God is doing.”

God is at work at the Marie Sandvik Center, transforming lives and drawing people to Himself. We invite you to join us in this work through prayer, partnership, and service.

Last week, Marie Sandvik Center was grateful to partner with For the One ministry to help distribute food and bring hope to our neighbors. Together, we were able to meet practical needs while building relationships and reminding people that they are loved and not forgotten.

We're thankful for partners who share our heart for serving the Phillips neighborhood. Thank you to everyone whose generosity makes events like this possible!

Praise the Lord! Through the faithful ministry of Chaplain Wayne Andersen and the outreach of the Marie Sandvik Center, we have recently celebrated five baptisms. God continues to draw people to Himself through street ministry. Please join us in giving thanks for these testimonies of His grace.

One of the ministries making a difference is the street ministry conducted by the MSC Chaplain Wayne Andersen. Every week Wayne is leading a group to talk to people around the Center in South Minneapolis about Jesus. Your support helps us to do ministry like this through the Marie Sandvik Center.

For years, our parking lot has faithfully served many who came through the doors of the Center. Over time, it's become worn down and full of potholes.

We're so thankful to share that the parking lot has been completely redone!

This was a significant project for us, costing about $40,000, and we're grateful for God's provision in making it possible. It's a joy to see a safe, welcoming space taking shape for everyone who visits the Center.

If you'd like to help support this project, we'd be grateful for your partnership. You can give at mariesandvikcenter.org/donate.

Thank you for helping us continue this ministry to our neighbors in Phillips!

Last night, this semester's iCAN class graduated after 17 sessions together.

They spent the evening in mock interviews with interviewers from Chick-fil-A, Trader Joe’s, Cub Foods, and other local workplaces. One interviewer said, “Every student gave me a resume. That’s never happened before.” Another said, “You can really see their confidence and eye contact has grown.”

Across the sessions, more than 60 volunteers gave over 500 hours to invest in these students. And throughout the program, they talked with students about grace. So much of life is about proving yourself. The gospel says something different. You are already fully known and loved by Christ.

We are so happy for these students and for a night that showed how much they’ve grown!

On Saturday, the Marie Sandvik Center hosted a Mother’s Day celebration for single mothers and widows in the Phillips neighborhood.

We enjoyed food and games as women and children from the community gathered for encouragement and fellowship.

Much of the ministry at MSC begins with simple things like sharing a meal and spending time together. Over time, those moments grow into relationships, trust, and ongoing care.
