“Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus.” — Philippians 2:5

Jesus showed us what true humility, love, and obedience look like. In a world that often promotes pride and self-interest, Christ calls us to have His mindset — serving others, showing grace, and walking in love.

Today, may we reflect His heart in our words, actions, and attitudes. Let’s choose humility over pride, compassion over judgment, and faith over fear.

🙏 Lord, help us to think and live more like You each day.

This Memorial Day, we honor the courageous men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. Their bravery and selflessness will never be forgotten.

As a church family, we pause in gratitude and prayer for the fallen, for their loved ones, and for our nation. May God continue to heal, unite, and guide us.

Last Saturday, we had a "Pearls of Wisdom" Pearl Party for our Ladies Luncheon. It was a fun event of fellowshipping, eating delicious food, remembering "pearls of wisdom" we have heard in our lives, and even creating our very own pearl necklaces from oysters we got to crack open ourselves. It was fun to see what color pearl each oyster had inside.

In this past Sunday’s sermon on “Becoming a Pharisee” we looked at Matthew 23 where Jesus critiques the Pharisees. Our focus was on hypocrisy. Greek word hypokrites originally meant "actor" wearing a mask, symbolizing pretenders who appear righteous outwardly but are corrupt inwardly. Pharisees cleaned the outside (appearance) but were full of greed and self-indulgence inside. They sought human approval rather than God’s approval. Characteristics of hypocrisy include spiritual deadness likened to whitewashed tombs—beautiful externally but full of death and uncleanness internally. Blocking people from entering the kingdom of heaven by imposing barriers based on personal preferences, legalism, or exclusion. Making converts who mirror their pride and hypocrisy, worsening the problem. Pastor Zach challenged us to self-examine ourselves. Am I hypocritical in faith, holding grudges, ignoring scripture, or prioritizing appearances over genuine relationship with God? Do I hinder others’ access to Jesus by unloving behavior or legalistic attitudes?

Good morning! We’d love for you to join us for worship this morning at 10:15 AM — in person or online.

This week’s message is: “Becoming a Pharisee – Step 1: Hypocrisy”
We’ll take an honest look at how easy it is to focus on appearances while missing what God truly desires from our hearts. Come ready to be challenged, encouraged, and drawn closer to Christ.

We can’t wait to worship with you!
