On September 27, Kirk O'Cliff Presbyterian Church will commemorate 150 years of God's faithfulness and the generations of members, families, and friends who have shaped our church's history.

For a century and a half, Kirk O'Cliff has been a place of worship, service, fellowship, and spiritual growth. We invite former members, current members, neighbors, and friends to join us as we honor our past and look forward to the future.

Ruling Elder and Air Force veteran Justin Poling recently had the opportunity to visit the national military monument in Washington DC with his family, taking time to reflect on the sacrifices of the millions of Americans, like himself, who have served the nation.

The national military monument, unveiled this year as part of Americas 250th anniversary commemoration honors more than 41 million service members who have served from the Revolutionary War to present day. Located at the Lincoln Memorial, the monument features massive digital flag displays that showcase the names of veterans and service members, reminding visitors that behind every name is a story of sacrifice, family, and commitment to country.

Big thanks to Don Stewart for bringing some extra joy to worship this morning. His cornet playing was spot‑on — “Battle Hymn of the Republic” and “Amazing Grace” sounded fantastic and gave the whole service a lift. We’re grateful for his music and the heart he brings with it.

Today we joyfully welcomed Ron Rees into the life and ministry of our church family.

Rain limited our church outing to the Fredericksburg Nationals game to three innings, but the Nats still treated us to a fireworks show!

We give thanks for the life of our sister Pat Mitchell and trust she is held now in God’s eternal peace.

A service celebrating her life will be held August 22.

The women of Kirk O’Cliff and Louisa Presbyterian enjoyed a wonderful time of fellowship on Wednesday, sharing lunch together and creating prayer beads. We are grateful for the friendships, creativity, and faith that connect our two congregations.

We celebrated the beginning of summer - and honored the memory of our dear friend Ed Mitchell (who owned an endless collection of Hawaiian shirts) - by wearing our Hawaiian inspired garb today.
