A person is made right with God only by faith in Jesus Christ, and not by trying to obey the rules of the Old Testament law. The Apostle Paul wrote Galatians to stop believers from turning back to legalism. He taught that faith in Christ brings true spiritual freedom and a new life led by the Holy Spirit.

I started out in full-time ministry in 2007, just a few months after graduating from college. Children’s ministry became my primary area of oversight until I left that position in 2014. One thing I learned: kids are human beings. Duh, right? But I observed that many adults in the church were treating the children as if they were a different species.

Register your kids for AWANA!

For kids 3 years through 6th grade, the AWANA program helps children grow in the Lord through high-energy games, memorizing Scripture and a Bible message each week. Our goal at ICBC is to help each student become a fully-formed follower of Jesus Christ.

Wednesdays at 6:30 PM, starting September 9, 2026

REGISTER:

AWANA Clubs meet on Wednesdays during school year from 6:30-7:45 PM. During that time, kids 3 years through 6th grade enjoy a high-energy game time, work through a Scripture memory handbook, and hear a Bible message. The AWANA program provides structure and a clear path to follow to help childr...
