News from the Diocese:

On the Feast of St. Monica, August 27, Amy Craft, a parishioner of the Church of St. Peter & St. Paul, took a vow of consecrated virginity to the Lord Jesus Christ before Bishop Reed. As signs of her marital union with Christ, she received the traditional bridal gifts of a white veil and a silver ring. The vocation of consecrated celibacy reminds us that our final end is eternal, marital union with Christ at the Wedding Feast of the Lamb and that all Christians are called to marriage, either as a celibate spouse of Christ, the Bridegroom, or in a lifelong, sacramental union of one man and one woman. Please pray for Amy as she enters this new vocation and prepares for vows in the lay order of Deaconesses.
