Wednesday
Noon - 1 pm Pastor's Study, "Worship: From the Beginning to Now" God has sent us a vision - "Be a church that builds bridges and not walls!"

Our mission focuses on promoting the Common Good, by offering our neighbors love, hope, healing, value, and a place at the Table. Each perso

n's life whom we encounter and embrace is a success and a righteous step toward realizing our vision. Come worship the Lord in worship, join us at the Table and journey with others through studies and outreach, and experience the loving acceptance of God through fellowship and care. We believe many things to be true. We are united by one belief -- Jesus is our Lord and Savior. We do not proclaim doctrines or dogmas, we proclaim the Gospel of Jesus the Christ. We see the Bible as the revelation of Christ that is still living and breathing in our midst. We believe the traditions of the church, creeds, and doctrines are educational in themselves; however, it is our faith in Jesus that defines our salvation and purpose. We desire others to know who Jesus is - you included. Disciples are students of Jesus, learning about what he has taught the apostles, interpreting the scriptures, and revealing his love for all he encountered and ministered. Learning leads to faith, faith leads to practice, practice leads to mission. We include ALL people in our outreach and ministries. Male or female, persons of color or white, gay or straight, seekers, doubters, or believers, republican or democrat - Jesus broke down these barriers and has united us. Therefore, as humanly possible, we are creating a church that welcomes ALL people to the full life and leadership of our church. We are an anti-racist, pro-reconciling church that seeks to include all in the Body of Christ. We come from many walks of life to serve the Lord and each other. We know we are not perfect - but we are being perfected in Jesus everyday. We are individual believers who make up a unique community. Communities help support each individual to grow in faith, learn new things, share our gifts and talents, lend a helping hand to those in need, comfort those who mourn, and celebrate the ups and downs of life. Communities help other communities on a larger scale. As with any community, we need YOU. Come just as you are, share as you can, receive what you need, and grow with us. We hope to see you soon and become a part of Christ's family!

Well done good and faithful servant. Clark Gregg will be missed by all who knew him at First Christian Church.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Chief Clark Gregg, who answered his final call this evening at the age of 75.

Chief Gregg dedicated an extraordinary lifetime to the fire service, serving 2 years in Kansas before devoting 48 years to the citizens of Mineral Wells and Palo Pinto County. Throughout his career with the Mineral Wells Volunteer Fire Department, he served in every rank, leading with humility, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to those around him.

As a guest instructor for the Texas A&M Municipal Fire School for 26 years, Chief Gregg shared his knowledge, experience, and passion with thousands of firefighters from across Texas. His influence extended far beyond the communities he served, helping shape generations of firefighters who continue to carry his lessons forward.

Chief Gregg was more than a firefighter and chief—he was a mentor, a teacher, and a servant leader whose impact will be felt for years to come. His dedication to protecting others and strengthening the fire service leaves behind a legacy that cannot be measured.

To Chief Clark Gregg: thank you for your decades of faithful service, your steadfast leadership, and the countless lives you touched. Your watch is complete. We will take it from here.

Please keep the Gregg family, his friends, and all those who had the privilege of serving alongside him in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Rest easy, Chief. We have the watch.

On Friday, July 10, Rev. Dr. Jonathan Hall, Senior Minister, First Christian Church of North Hollywood, delivered a powerful message that reminded us God strengthens us in the fog, that love cannot exist without truth, and that Christ calls us to love the people right in front of us.

On Saturday, July 11, Rev. Terri Hord Owens, General Minister and President, encouraged Disciples to go outside, go beyond, and to live in the possibilities of the growing edge as we work to build a world where all can experience the limitless love of God.

Many of us knew and loved our dear friend and active member, Tom Williams. We will celebrate his life and the impact that he has had on our community on June 28th during our normal worship time (10:50 am). We are planning a "Happy Sunday" (as Tom would greet us each Sunday morning) celebration in partnership with the Mineral Wells Senior Center. Following worship, we will have a meal at the center and share our stories. All who knew him are invited.
