If the Lord were to rename us by the holy assignments from Him that we were actively pursuing, what would our name be? A different way to consider, what name would we give another brother/sister in Christ as we observed them in this pursuit?

Acts 1:8. “But ye shall receive power after the Holy Spirit is come upon you….”

What does being empowered by the Holy Spirit look like? The spiritual gifts God has given each individual child of His will be energized. Some may say this is speaking in tongues. Only if you have that gift. And those who claim this gift don’t realize their misnomer about it and how it is indeed used. There are 20 gifts, and many of them are twofold in nature. The gifts the Holy Spirit has given several as He wills will be the gift(s) energized. First do you know which ones you have? Second, do you recognize when they’re in season or out of season? Third, do you know when yours are energized?

Deuteronomy 7:16 And thou shalt consume all the people which the LORD thy God shall deliver thee; thine eye shall have no pity upon them: neither shalt thou serve their gods; for that will be a snare unto thee.

I wonder if this isn’t one of the ways in which we have fallen, compromised, allowed for the coexistence of the world in our churches. And then the inclusion of that infection infused into the very members of our churches…. Pity.
Is this just an old testament concept? No pity? How does this flesh out in the New Testament? I believe we should consume people by declaring the truth, not the compromise truth, not the nice sounding truth, not the adjusted truth. Simply the truth. Scriptures tell us the truth will offend. It is by the truth that the elect will be saved, but there aren’t very many of those. So mostly, the truth will offend. As we observe the effect of that truth, offensive, on that note, no pity. I have a saying, compassion clouds clarity. That’s what this is speaking to.

We as believers are to be developing an eternal mindset. If you then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above. …. The world doesn’t want to develop an eternal mindset. If they were to look into their eternity, all they would see is death. And indeed it is, it’s called eternal death. And if some were to dare to peer that far in advance, that could be a tool that God would use for His elect to discover God Himself as the only way, truth and life to exchange their current eternal destination to one of eternal life.
