McGronen at a place called Allen's Hall located just north of the First National Bank on Main Street. When Mineola Fair took over these premises, a small chapel called Parish Hall was built on Garfield Avenue at a cost of $800 and dedicated in 1898. During this period, Corpus Christi was a mission extension of St. Brigid in Westbury. In 1901, Corpus Christi was canonically erected as a parish. The
REv. James F. Flynn was appointed the first pastor. In 1909 Fr. Flynn built the original Corpus Christi Church on the corner of Garfield and Willis. In 1970, the present church was built by Msgr. Edmund A. Fitzgerald replacing the original church. 'You Together are My Body" became the theme of the parish in 1971. Phone: 516-746-1223
