Yesterday we celebrated our annual day of service, "God's work. Our hands."

We are called to proclaim the good news:
God is at work!
This good news is not left in some history long ago or a place far away:
God is at work in the world still today!
In us and through us, God is glorified in our work.
When we offer a helping hand, God is praised.
When we share of our abundance, God is known in the world.
God is at work in us!
In our service today and in our daily lives,
let us live out what God has called us to in baptism.
God is at work through our hands!
God bless your hands and your work,
that through you God’s love may be known. Amen.

We are pleased to announce the election of the Rev. Yehiel Curry as presiding bishop of the ELCA! Bishop-elect Curry was elected on the fifth ballot with 70.34% of the vote.

Ever-living God, strengthen and sustain Bishop-elect Curry, that with patience and understanding he may love and care for your people. Grant that together we may follow in the way of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Our Confirmation class just wrapped up after two wonderful years.

Looking forward to a week at Camp Lutherwood Oregon and coming back in the fall for more shenanigans with this wonderful group of young people!

Today is Good Friday. With solemn hearts, we remember the suffering and death of Jesus on the cross. "When Jesus had received the wine, he said, 'It is finished.' Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit" (John 19:30).

LENTEN SOUP & SERVICE CANCELLED 3/26.

Current NOAA weather reports are showing a significant chance of violent storms tomorrow afternoon, which may include high winds, isolated tornadoes, and the risk of 2-2.5 inch hail.

In the interest of not having people on the road or with their cars parked outside during this weather, we will be cancelling our Lenten Soup Lunch and Prayer Service for tomorrow, March 26.

Please stay safe and stay home if possible.
