We will be pausing our study through Luke as we enter the Advent season.
It is often said that having children is a blessing. This is as true a statement that has ever been made.
For sinful humanity the arrival of the Son of God, born in a manger, in a stranger’s stable, is the greatest blessing in history. We are no longer bound by the chains of sin and damnation, but are now free because of his life, death and resurrection.
For this Advent season we not only want to celebrate the blessing that Christ is to us, we also want to share this with others.
As you gather around the table over the weekend and celebrate our abundance and freedoms in America, be thankful for the blessing it is to live in peace with God and with others in a land so blessed, far beyond what we deserve.
This Sunday we will gather downstairs at 10AM with food to share with one another, a story, a craft to make and hang on our tree and songs of hope with the arrival of the Perfect One.
