This morning the voters of Christ Congregation voted to approve the recommendation of the Church Council to close the church for services and turn over the remaining assets to Christ St Peter Lutheran School. The decision was made due to declining membership and declining remaining assets needed to keep the congregation in operation. In addition, a pastoral vacancy combined with a significant shortage of Pastors in the WELS also factored into the decision. The decision will allow the school to continue to use the building to continue to preach Gods word do the children of the neighborhood, and gives them the financial means to continue to maintain and insure the building for their usage.

A final service will be held on Sunday November 24th at 11am. Pastor Jaeger will return to preach the final sermon and Pastor Dunn from St Peters will also participate in the service. All are welcome and invited to join us for this historic service.
