Celebrating 8 Years of Pastoral Leadership at IDC
Pastor John Cotton
Lady Chrissy Cotton
Today, with grateful hearts, we celebrate 8 years of serving as Pastor and First Lady of IDC. The number 8 is symbolic of new beginnings, fresh starts, and God's continued grace upon us. As we reflect on where God has brought us from and where He is leading us, our hearts are filled with thanksgiving.
First and foremost, all glory, honor, and praise belong to God. It has been His hand that has sustained us, strengthened us, and carried us through every challenge, every victory, every tear, and every triumph. Without Him, none of this would be possible.
Today, we take a special moment to honor and celebrate our Pastor but my absolutely amazing husband, whom is a Father, Brother, Uncle and Cousin.Thank you for your faithfulness to God's call and for leading this ministry with vision, courage, and unwavering dedication. Through every season, you have stood firm on the Word of God, shepherding His people with love, wisdom, and integrity. Thank you for the countless prayers you've prayed, the sacrifices you've made, the sermons you've preached, and the lives you've poured into. Your commitment to God's assignment has encouraged us, challenged us, and helped us grow spiritually. We are grateful for a leader who does not lead out of fear but walks by faith, trusting God every step of the way. Thank you for your servant's heart, your perseverance, and your steadfast devotion to the Kingdom of God. We honor you today and pray that God continues to strengthen, favor, and bless you as you fulfill the purpose He has placed upon your life.
I would like to take a special moment to honor my amazing wife, our First Lady. Thank you for faithfully walking alongside me in the assignment God has entrusted to us. Thank you for your countless prayers, your unwavering support, your wisdom, and your willingness to step up to every challenge that ministry has presented. Through the victories and the valleys, you have remained steadfast, serving God's people with grace, compassion, and a heart full of love. Your strength has helped carry this ministry, your prayers have covered our family and congregation, and your dedication has been an invaluable blessing to me as a leader. Thank you for embracing your God given assignment and for helping to advance the Kingdom with humility, your joyful spirit and with excellence. Your faithfulness has impacted countless lives, and I am forever grateful to serve alongside you.
To our IDC family, thank you from the depths of our hearts. Your prayers, love, encouragement, support, sacrifices, and unwavering faithfulness have helped carry us through these eight years. We recognize that ministry is never accomplished alone. We are grateful for every prayer prayed, every word of encouragement spoken, every act of service given, and every person who has linked arms with us to advance God's Kingdom.
Looking back, we can truly say that God has been faithful. Looking forward, we believe the best is yet to come. As we enter this new beginning represented by year eight, we ask God to continue to excel in our lives, our ministry, and our congregation. May He forever be glorified in everything we do.
We are overjoyed and humbled to serve as your Pastor and First Lady. Together, we will continue to face this battle called life not walking in fear, but walking in faith, knowing that God is with us every step of the way.
Thank you for eight incredible years. May God continue to bless IDC as we all move forward in unity, purpose, and love.
To God Be All The Glory!
