LOVING BY BEARING ANOTHER’S PAIN
Today, February 11, we celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. Across the world, the Church marks the 34th World Day of the Sick, focusing on prayer, solidarity, and compassion for those who are suffering.
In his message for this year’s observance, Pope Leo speaks about God’s healing presence in times of weakness. He encourages everyone to be a sign of hope to the sick, not just by caring for them, but also by listening, staying close, and showing love.
The Holy Father reminds us that, although illness often brings pain and uncertainty, it can also be a special time to meet Christ, who stays with those who suffer and never leaves them alone.
