We live our Unitarian Universalist values out loud by co‑sponsoring the Blessed at PrideFest Milwaukee booth with the United Church of Christ and Milwaukee’s interfaith volunteers and clergy. Together, we create a simple sacred space where strangers connect, heal and blessings one another through presence & care.
The whole experience is electric—joyful, heart‑opening, and rooted in love. Huge gratitude to First Church and every volunteer who showed up with courage, compassion, and radiant, centering love all weekend long.

Join us for our annual multigenerational Flower Ceremony service, where we all bring in a flower to share with the community, and take home a different flower than the one we came with. Nature’s biodiversity is its strength, and like a field of wildflowers, we flourish together in diverse human community. This worship service will explore the power of mutual flourishing, and how our stories of strength and diversity can help create the reality of mutual flourishing. Don’t forget to bring a flower (and if you do, come anyway, we’ll have extras at church)! https://uumilwaukee.org/event/flourishing-together/

How do you cross through a doorway that you might not come back out of? Consider the courage of Elvira Benitez of Sheboygan Falls Wisconsin, mother of four US citizens and several grandchildren, who recently was released from a Kentucky detention camp. Finally home with her youngest children, 11 and 13 years old, Elvira is not free from a sickness she developed in detention nor is she completely free from ICE. The last time she crossed this threshold she did not come back out. Today, the community joined her in solidarity. Thankfully, this time, she was not detained and returned home with her family.

We arrive here from a thousand pasts colliding to create the present. Both Unitarians and Universalists have long and complex histories before merging in 1961. We, too, have long histories before arriving at today. How are our lives and identities shaped by both personal and institutional history? Join us for this service where we explore the stories of where we come from, how they shape us, and where we are going together. https://uumilwaukee.org/event/where-do-we-come-from/

MMFHC is connecting with faith-based organizations to raise awareness of housing discrimination that may impact people because of the country where they are from or because of their religious beliefs or cultural affiliations. Red flags of discriminatory practices include denying someone housing because they are from another country or speak a language other than English, refusing to allow someone to wear religious clothing or engage in cultural customs, or harassing someone because of their religion or national origin.
