The first meeting of Wellington Park Seniors was held on February 2, 1968. The summer picnic was held at Mr. and Mrs. Loose house. They had a membership of 31 people.

On Sunday September 28, 1986 Wellington Park called Rev Dean Phillips. Rev Richard Deines the Co-Director of the Milwaukee Area Lutheran Coalition was there and was the installer for pastor Dean. His wife Roberta, and son Joel was there for the service and got to meet the congregation. Jean and Jon were both at college.

In December of 1978 Pastor Barsnick left our congregation and took a call to a Mission Church in Toronto, Canada. Just 9 months later Wellington Park called Pastor Yukio Hamada. He joined the church on September 12, 1979.
