CHILDREN IN AMERICA DESERVE BETTER.

“I became one of the nearly 700,000 Americans who have gone through conversion therapy. Though 23 states have implemented some bans on LGBTQ kids from receiving the discredited practice, the Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that Colorado must relegalize it...I was horrified. I understood the pain….and I knew that this decision would cost lives.”

🗓️ Join us April 25th as we kick off 250 days of Kindness!

🙌🏾 We are proud to join the USofKindness (USK) and accept the USK 250 Acts of Kindness Call to Action for 2026.

As we approach America’s 250th anniversary, we invite churches, congregations, and individuals to join us in elevating the kindness already happening and inspiring even more across our communities. Whether you’re a faith leader, a member of a congregation, or someone seeking to make a difference, your acts of kindness matter.

🫶🏾 One act of kindness can change a life; 250 million acts of kindness shared could change a nation.

Trans people are showing us that a different world is possible.

A world where gender is not confined, but alive with possibility.

This affirmation from Rev. Jami Yandle, UUA’s Transgender Support Specialist, honors the beauty, courage, and truth of trans lives—lived out loud, even when the world makes that hard.

May we listen to and learn from trans people.
May we follow the leadership of trans and nonbinary communities.
May we help create the conditions where trans people can live, thrive, and shape the world as themselves.

On this Trans Day of Visibility, Rev. Phoenix Bell-Shelton Biggs invites us to widen the lens.

Visibility isn’t just about recognition—it’s about ensuring care, safety, and dignity reach all trans people, wherever they are.

We remember trans people living under surveillance.
We remember that trans lives are sacred everywhere—in detention centers, courtrooms, hospitals, schools, and churches.

And we remember: trans freedom does not stop when we look away.

For many trans, nonbinary, gender nonconfomring, gender expansive, and intersex people, navigating travel, family expectations, boundaries, and emotional strain during the holidays can be especially difficult. If this season brings added stress, misgendering, or the need to make your way through unsafe or unwelcoming spaces, we want you to know: we are holding you.

We’re sharing this article from Point of Pride as a supportive resource, offering gentle, practical reminders for caring for yourself, honoring your needs, and making space for what brings you steadiness and joy this season:
