Join us this Saturday, August 29 for a Family Dinner cookout at the Pirrie's home in Hales Corners. Good Christian counsel, or soul care, is biblically based, Spirit-led, and Christ-saturated counsel that brings about Christ-likeness, true soul rest, and targets lasting heart change. At Vertical, we have a great desire to see biblical soul care flourish in our church body. We hope to continue growing our counseling ministry and equipping more men and women to care for the needs of the church in this way.

Hook & Cook
We’d love to have you join us tomorrow, June 27, at the Christensen’s house for Hook & Cook. We’ll be fishing together on the lake from 8:00am-12:00pm. Bring your poles and tackle and come ready to catch your lunch.

Following the Hook + Cook event, we’ll be frying up the fish that were caught and enjoying lunch and lake activities for the whole family. Bring sides, drinks, or desserts to share and be sure to bring swim suits, kayaks, and rafts to enjoy an afternoon at the lake. Our June Book of the Month is Created to Play: How Taking Hobbies Seriously Grows Us Spiritually, by Brianna Lambert. In this book, Lambert reveals the ways God blesses our hobbies and uses them to form us and draw us into worship, helping us view our hobbies as opportunities not just for individual expression but also for communal enjoyment, theological reflection, and marveling at the glory of God. Here at Vertical Church we believe life’s greatest satisfaction is found in a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and that He liberates us from our sin and corresponding guilt.
