“But the fruit of the Spirit is love…” — Galatians 5:22 (ESV)

This week’s devotional, inspired by Pastor Cornell Owens’ message, reminds us that love is not something we manufacture—it is the natural result of abiding in God. When we stay connected to Him, His love begins to shape our thoughts, guide our responses, and transform how we treat others each day.

God is less concerned with outward performance and more focused on what He is forming within us. As we remain in His presence, His love flows through us with grace, patience, and compassion that reflects Him.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love…” — Galatians 5:22 (ESV)

This week’s devotional, inspired by Pastor Cornell Owens’ message, reminds us that love is the true evidence of abiding in God. When we stay connected to Him, His love naturally shapes how we think, respond, and treat others each day.

God is not simply focused on outward performance, but on what is being formed within us. As we remain in His presence, His love flows through us with grace, patience, and compassion.

Today, as a church family and community, we honor and celebrate all mothers and mother figures in every form.

To moms, grandmothers, godmothers, mentors, and caregivers—thank you. Your love, strength, and care are truly appreciated.

We also hold space for those for whom today may be difficult. Whether you are remembering, missing, or hoping—we see you and are praying with you.

As a church, we’re grateful for the faith and love so many mother figures reflect in our lives.

Women’s Weekend 2026 was more than a gathering — it was a divine encounter marked by God’s presence and truth.

As we move forward, we’re called to remain consistent in what God has spoken and not lose what was gained in the moment. What we learned is meant to shape how we live through every season.

This week’s devotional from Lady Dericka Owens encourages us to stay anchored and apply what we’ve received.

Anchored. Rooted. Unshaken. ⚓️💖

“The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” — Isaiah 40:8 (ESV)

What we experienced wasn’t just a moment—it was a reminder that when we’re anchored in Him, we remain steady in every season.

This is only a glimpse… because truly, you had to be in the room.

Missed it this year? Don’t miss the next one—come anchored and ready. ✨

This week’s devotional, Faith That Overcomes, reminds us that our victory is not defined by what we face, but by our faith in God. Faith shifts our focus from what we see to who is in control.

“In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.” — Romans 8:37 (ESV)

We’re also excited to share a special handout from Pastor Cornell Owens titled “You Said” – Declaring God’s Promises, designed to help you speak God’s Word over your life throughout the week.

Head to our website to read the full devotional and download the handout together in one place.

Stay encouraged, stay rooted, and walk in the victory God has already given you!

From The Desk of Pastor Owens

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given…” — Isaiah 9:6

Today we celebrate more than a moment in history—we celebrate a miracle of love.

Christmas reminds us that God did not remain distant from our pain, our struggles, or our brokenness. He came close.

Jesus was born as a child, just like us—vulnerable, humble, and human. Yet He was also God’s greatest gift, given intentionally and lovingly to the world. In Him, God stepped into our story so we would never have to walk alone.

Isaiah calls Him Wonderful Counselor—when we need wisdom.

Mighty God—when we feel weak.

Everlasting Father—when we feel forgotten.

Prince of Peace—when our hearts feel restless.

No matter what this day looks like for you—full of joy or quietly heavy—Christmas declares this truth:

God saw our need and responded with His Son.

Today, take a moment to thank God for the gift of Jesus. Let His presence be your peace, His love be your comfort, and His promises be your hope.

“Unto us” means you are included.

Merry Christmas from our Central City church family to yours.

Lord, thank You for sending Jesus to us. Help us receive Him not just today, but every day. Fill our hearts with Your peace and remind us that we are never alone. Amen.
