One of our dear brothers in Christ, Mike Piedt, went home to be with the Lord in April this year. We miss him dearly and rejoice that he is with Jesus who he loved so much!

A few years back, the Milwaukee Rescue Mission Milwaukee Rescue Mission made this video of Mike, highlighting the way that God powerfully brought him to faith and changed his life. We wanted to share it as an encouragement and a testimony of what God can do.

Mike loved the Lord. He was faithful in the way that he served the church and lived for others before himself. We were incredibly blessed to walk alongside him. But he knew that all of this was due to God’s work in his life.

If he were still here, I’m positive that he would want you to know that you also are not too far from the God. No sin that you’ve committed makes you too far gone, and the God who created you loves you deeply. The same God who brought Mike out of darkness, is also here for you if you seek Him.

Thank you Lord for the powerful work you’ve done in Mike’s life, and how you are continuing to work in all who love you!

God truly does have the power to change lives!

Youth group kicked off the year with mini golf and reading the first chapter of C.S. Lewis’s “The Screw Tape Letters”, which is what they will be going through this summer!

Youth group at Crossway has the same mission as Crossway: to make maturing followers of Jesus, by the power of the gospel.

In addition to meeting for Bible study (book discussion in summer) the youth are meeting regularly with families at Crossway for dinner, games or other activities to truly get connected into the church body.

Today we kicked off the summer Bible memory challenge!

This is a way for the children at Crossway (and the adults who want to memorize scripture alongside them!) to have God’s word in their heart. We pray that all of these precious kids would grow to know the Lord and his word!

In the past, the kids have memorized passages from Romans 8, Ephesians 6 and all of psalm 23. This year, they are learning the Ten Commandments in exodus chapter 20!

The word of God is living and active, and we pray that God would do a work in each of their lives this summer!

It’s not too late to join! If you’d like to participate, the memory challenge will take place Sundays from 8:45-9:45 throughout the summer. We will do devotional, play games and learn more about what God has for us! Send us a message- we would love to have you there!

Anxiety doesn’t get the final word…Christ does!

This past weekend at Crossway’s annual women’s retreat was a reminder that we were never meant to carry everything alone. We opened our Bibles, spoke truth over anxious hearts, and found peace not in having control but in trusting the One who does.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” — Philippians 4:6

There’s something powerful about sitting shoulder to shoulder, sharing honestly, praying boldly, and being reminded of the truth of the gospel.

If you’ve been carrying anxiety quietly, you don’t have to do it alone anymore!. There is a place for you here at Crossway a community rooted in truth, marked by grace, and walking together toward freedom in Jesus.

Dead to sin, raised to new life in Christ!

This weekend we celebrated baptism, a beautiful picture of what Jesus has done for us. Because of Jesus, we are now free from sin, and can walk in newness of life!

It’s not a declaration of self improvement, but a declaration of God’s grace in our lives.
