Sis Fields gave her life to Christ at a young woman growing up in Donaldsonville. She was a faithful member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Milwaukee, WI. , where she served under the leadership of Obie Sartin, Sr. & Russell B. Williamson. Although she was a quiet member, she was an active participant in the Mission Circle. She faced her fears of speaking in front of others and began to participate in the lessons regularly. She was extremely proud of this accomplishment. From time to time and on special occasions, Deborah loved worshipping with her daughter at Holy Cathedral and Little Community of Church of God in Christ. She LOVED good Gospel music and “Down South” style service as service as she affectionately called it.
