So blessed to have the opportunity to share our mission with the amazing Hospice Chaplains community!

Since her early twenties, Anne Haines has been enthralled by the Catholic Worker movement. This passion called her to found the St. Bakhita Catholic Worker House in Milwaukee, where she supports and empowers women who have survived exploitation. We are SO grateful to the Women's Club of Wisconsin for their care and generosity!We feel so blessed!!

Community Outreach Committee Members, Renee Vandlik, Holly Ryan, and Mary Flynn recently shopped to completely outfit a “new home” for a deserving resident of St Bakhita Catholic Worker House. The resident's room is the result of generous donations from Woman’s Club members. St. Bakhita Catholic Worker House offers hope and healing to women survivors of human trafficking and s*xual exploitation. The newly decorated room will be redone in April, featuring new bedding, pillows, towels, décor, and wall art. Stay tuned for pictures of the redo!

We could not be more grateful to the Bakhita Boys for all their efforts! They are simply amazing!!

During February, the “Bakhita Boys” committed to 101 push-ups and 101 sit-ups every day to raise awareness and funds for the St. Bakhita Catholic Worker in Milwaukee.

Today, we were grateful to present a check for more than $6,000 to support St. Bakhita House’s mission of providing safe housing, holistic support, and a healing community for women survivors of human trafficking and exploitation.

Special thanks to Scott Cayo, who launched the “Bakhita Boys” initiative four years ago, and to all the volunteers and supporters whose efforts make a meaningful impact in our local community.
