Milton Free Methodist Church

Milton Free Methodist Church ALL ARE WELCOME!

03/22/2026

Milton FMC is looking to reopen our doors soon. We are excited, but we need your help!

We have ideas for some family fun events, but we know we can do so much more.

What is a need in the community that is not currently being met?

Would you be willing to help support the church while we meet these needs?

Please comment or PM me with your ideas. Let’s see how we can best help Milton the best it can be.

This morning was just too dangerous for some to make it in and for those of us that could make it in to stay without going home in even more dangerous conditions. So what do you do? Cancel service? Not us!!! We postpone a few hours and the two of us that made it in go home to have service over the phone. Where there is a will, the Lord will make a way.

This is our 3rd week doing virtual service due to weather and its aftermath. We pray that everyone is safe and warm. We look forward to after the storm and we can love on everyone again. Be safe!

May the Lord bless you, keep you and shine His face upon you.

Due to the weather and our congregation being iced in or living where roads are not yet plowed, tomorrow’s worship service will be held telephonic as I am unable to livestream our services at this time. We pray that everyone stays safe and warm. See you next week!

While we sit under snow and ice, do not forget about our brothers and sisters across the country who are battling a raging fire. Many have lost everything. Areas that took decades to build were wiped away in hours and left as charred ashes. May God have compassion and help all that need help, wherever they may be.

Please join us in prayer for those impacted by the uncontained wildfires in California.

O Father,
Grant strength to those affected by the Palisades, Hurst, and Eaton wildfires. Give people the wisdom to follow evacuation orders and to come together to assist each other in escaping harm’s way. Offer them comfort and safe havens where they can find support and solace. Please be with the countless first responders who are risking their lives to save others. Provide bravery for those who will be receiving the call to help those already on the front lines and help them all to contain the fires. Shield and strengthen them all, Father, as they confront the uncertainties ahead. We lift them up to You for the healing and renewal that You know each individual and community will require.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

Today we had worship over the phone due to impending storms and some having long drives. It was an amazing worship all the same.

Our readings today tell us how Christ is the light that shines in the darkness and will not be overcome, our identity is in Christ, and we are bearers of the Light.

As you go into the world, carry the light of Christ with you. Be confident that the darkness will never overcome it. May your lives reflect the glory and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and may you be instruments of His peace and love. Hold onto to the hope that Jesus’ light brings, and let it inspire you to live with purpose, compassion, and joy.
