Today's Sermon Quote from Mark 10:

Conviction and condemnation are two very different things. Condemnation is the work of the enemy. The Holy Spirit uses conviction to lead us toward healing, repentance, and restoration.

Condemnation says, “You’ve failed. You’re finished. There’s no way back.”

Conviction says, “Yes, this is sin. But bring it into the light. There’s forgiveness, there’s freedom, and there’s a better way.”

If what you’re hearing drives you to hide from God, that’s not His voice.
If what you’re hearing draws you to run *to* God, repent, and be restored, that’s the Spirit at work.

Don’t run from conviction—let it lead you to the Healer.

Norma Mishoe tripped while at a grandson’s ballgame in Atlanta and broke both ankles. One they can boot and the other requires surgery to repair. She is in surgery now Wednesday 2:30pm. Please pray.

**Update**

She’s outta surgery. Met with Dr. He said all went well. Will take a few months of hard rehab work but prognosis is really good. Will have to use a knee scooter for maybe up to a couple of months. He will see her again in his office in two weeks. Probably will release her to Florida Dr then. Thank you so much for your prayers.

Five Day Devotional For Apr 5-9
Easter 2026

Day 5: The One Searching for You

Sometimes failure makes us want to disappear.
Peter knew that feeling well.

📖 **Today’s Reading:**
John 21:1–19
1 Peter 1:3–9

Peter had promised he would never leave Jesus.
Then, in Jesus’ darkest hour, Peter denied even knowing Him—three times.
Crushed by shame, he did what many of us do after a failure: he went back to what he knew.
Back to fishing. Back to “normal.” Back to hiding.

But Jesus didn’t leave him there.

At daybreak, after a night of catching nothing, the risen Jesus stood on the shore.
He filled their nets with fish, then cooked breakfast over a charcoal fire—the same kind of fire where Peter had denied Him.

By that fire, Jesus didn’t lecture Peter.
He restored him.
Three times Peter had denied Him.
Three times Jesus asked, “Do you love Me?”
Three times He gave Peter a new commission: “Feed My sheep.”

Here is the wonder of Easter:
The One we keep searching for… is already searching for us.

- The prophets spoke better than they knew because Christ’s Spirit was already at work in them.
- Mary heard her name because Jesus came and met her in her grief.
- Peter found restoration because Jesus went *looking* for the one who had failed Him most.

Easter is not just a story about people finally finding God.
It’s the story of a risen Savior who *refuses to stop looking* for people.

Your honest search for Jesus will always end at an empty tomb and a living Savior.
But His search for you?
It started long before you knew His name—and it’s still underway today.

The real question is not, “Can you find God?”
It’s, “Will you let yourself be found?”

📝 **Reflection Question:**
How does knowing that Jesus is actively searching for you change the way you approach Him—especially in your failure, doubt, or shame?

If you’d like, share your thoughts in the comments so others can be encouraged, or simply bring it to Jesus in prayer today. He’s closer than you think.
