On Thursday June 11, 2026, as part of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, Bishop Wack will join all of the bishops of the United States to consecrate our nation to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

The faithful across our diocese are encouraged to unite their prayers with our shepherds for this special occasion. The Novena to the Sacred Heart begins tomorrow, June 3, culminating with the consecration on June 11.

The clergy and faithful of our diocese will gather at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart on Friday June 5 for the Mass of Christian Burial of Most Rev. John H. Ricard, SSJ, our fourth bishop. Mass will start at 11:00 a.m. CT and will be preceded by a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. CT.

Solemn Vespers will be prayed tomorrow evening, Thursday June 4, beginning at 5:00 p.m. CT at the Cathedral.
