VBS FINALE DAY 5!! All about FORGIVENESS!

Colossians 3:13: “Bear with each other and forgive one another as the Lord forgave you.”

This messy world is full of messy people. How do we deal with the sins and hurtful behaviors of others; especially when they hurt us? We must forgive, just as Jesus forgave us. And forgiveness carries the weight of a sacrifice!

This was the most amazing week of VBS!! And the generosity of the community was just awesome!! Our weekly offering amount for the 6th grade to purchase items for the Wichita Children’s Home was $1,261.73!!! Our first goal was $600 and then $900 and today we went beyond that!! God is so GOOD!!

We invite the community to the worship service in the Norwich City Park this Sunday, the 12th at 10:00 am. Pastor Cathy from Norwich Methodist will be leading the service with VBS kids singing songs they learned from the week. Please wear your VBS “messy” shirts!!

VBS DAY 4!!

1 John 3:1: See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!

Today we Addressed Our Mess! Our sin can only be addressed by the grace of Jesus.

Jesus died for the messiest version of
you. He addresses your mess with love and
grace; not harsh judgment. The father throws his royal robe over our
sin-stained, tattered clothes, and covers us
up in his grace.

I am sad that tomorrow is the final day of VBS! Tomorrow we get to learn how to forgive others just as Jesus forgave us!

VBS DAY 3!!!

1 John 1:9: “If we confess our sins, he will forgive our sins and purify us from all
unrighteousness.”

Today was all about Confessing Your Mess!
Jesus wants us to be honest about our sin, and our need for Him!

“Have mercy on me God! A sinner!” This prayer is juxtaposed to that of a self-promoting Pharisee, who claims to have it all together. God honors the prayer of the sinner, who desperately calls out his own
inadequacy.

Thank you to all who have attended, volunteered and or prayed over our VBS! Two more days of messiness!

Thank you, Jesus, for loving us even when we are messy!

VBS Day 2!!

While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” -Romans 5:8

Yesterday, the lesson focused on Genesis 3 with Adam & Eve: This world is a mess because of sin. Today, was focused on Mark 10 with the Rich Young Ruler: No matter how messy you are, Jesus loves you!

The 6th grade will be taking the money collected from the offering each day to purchase items needed for The Wichita Children’s Home. Our goal is $600 and we are so close to meeting our goal!! We are at $443!! So amazing!! God is Good! All the time!!

Bring on day 3 with more messy crafts, songs, lessons and music 🫟🫟🫟

Even if you aren’t registered, please still come tomorrow, Thursday or Friday!!

Are you ready for VBS 2026 because things are going to get MESSY! Jesus loves messy people! That’s good news for us, because we all have our own messes. What a Mess VBS is about how Jesus deals with our messes; our sins, mistakes and weaknesses. Throughout the week we will look at the following questions:

⭐️ Why is the world such a messy place?
⭐️ How does Jesus respond to our messiest moments?
⭐️ How should we respond to our messes?
⭐️ What does Jesus do about our messes?
⭐️ What about other people’s messes?
