Today was a special day in the life of our corps as we celebrated two important milestones of faith.

Congratulations to Charlotte on becoming an Adherent and to Liz on becoming a Senior Soldier of The Salvation Army!

While these commitments are different, both represent a public declaration of a desire to follow Jesus Christ, serve others, and be part of the mission of God’s Kingdom through The Salvation Army.

We are grateful for the journey that has led each of them to this moment and for the way God continues to work in their lives. Thank you for your willingness to answer His call and for the example of faith you set before our corps family.

As a congregation, let us continue to pray for Liz and Charlotte as they grow in their relationship with Christ and live out their commitments each day.

“Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 1:6

Congratulations, Liz and Charlotte! We are blessed to celebrate with you today.

✨ Get to Know Lt. Lexii ✨

We are excited to welcome Lt. Lexii to Milton! Here’s a little opportunity to get to know her heart for ministry and community.

❓What are you most excited about in coming to Milton?“I am most excited about getting to know the people in Milton. I want to know who they are, and I can’t wait to have them become part of my family.”

❓Tell us a little about your ministry journey.“My journey in ministry has been interesting. I have been doing ministry since 2008, but I became an Officer in 2021. Not gonna lie, I ran from my calling for many years, but God has worked with me and through me to get me to this point. I have had three appointments so far, and each time I have moved, I have left a piece of my heart.”

❓What are you passionate about?“I am passionate about making sure people are cared for. I love helping others, and I am passionate about community as well.”

❓What’s one fun fact about you?“At one point in my life, I wanted to be a NASCAR driver… but my friends talked me out of it!” 🏁😂

❓What are some of your hobbies?“I love to walk — it’s one of my favorite forms of exercise. I also enjoy reading, crocheting, knitting, and baking. Baking is a huge stress reliever for me.”

❓Do you have a life verse?Romans 8:38-39“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

❓What are you looking forward to most?“I am looking forward to learning and growing with the church family.”

❓How would you describe your ministry style?“If I had to sum up my ministry style, I would say it is a ministry of presence. I don’t always have the right words to say, but I will be there for you and love you in the name of Jesus.”

Join us July 5th as we welcome Lt. Lexii

Did someone say Elephant Toothpaste!?

That’s what God’s love is like. When Jesus fills our hearts, His love doesn’t stay trapped inside us. It spills out into the way we treat people, help others, forgive others, and care for people.

💛 National Volunteer Week 💛

Here at The Salvation Army in Milton, we are taking time this week to celebrate something truly special… our volunteers.

From the youngest helping hands to the most seasoned servants, we are beyond grateful for every single person who chooses to give their time, energy, and heart to this community.

Our volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do. They are the ones stocking our shelves so families have food on the table.
They are the ones preparing and handing out hygiene products with dignity and care.
They are the ones showing up, being present, and loving people right where they are.
They are the ones who step in during times of crisis, responding to local disasters with compassion and urgency.

Because of them, ministry happens.
Because of them, needs are met.
Because of them, hope is seen and felt throughout Milton.

The truth is simple: we cannot do this without you.

To every volunteer who has ever served, is currently serving, or is thinking about stepping in…thank you. Your impact reaches farther than you may ever realize.

Milton is stronger because of you.
And we are so incredibly grateful.

Kids Club was FULL of energy tonight!! 🎉🙌

We had such a fun time learning about what Jesus did for us, how He didn’t just die… He ROSE again so we could have hope, forgiveness, and new life! 💛

And the best part? Our craft!! The kids made their very own empty tombs to remind them that the tomb is EMPTY… because JESUS IS ALIVE!!! 🪨✨

So many smiles, creativity, and powerful moments packed into one night! We love watching these kids grow and learn just how much Jesus loves them!
