Theological Education in Malawi
Please pray for the start of the September term at the Baptist College of Malawi as two International Mission Board missionaries teach on campus and another one serves a distance-learning site. Pray for the continued preparation of future pastors and church leaders, and intercede for God’s provision for students and their families. “Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will, working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen” (Hebrews 13:20-21 ESV).

Across the country of Pakistan, believers are sharing the gospel every week. Please pray for these evangelism efforts to help believers to grow in confidence and also provide opportunities for follow-up.

South Asian Unengaged Peoples
Please pray for the Mogia people living in the state of Rajasthan, India. Thankfully, the gospel is being regularly shared through local leaders among this group of people who are very destitute and without any known believers. Pray for those being shared with to believe and for healthy churches to form.

Kashmiri Muslims of India
(KASH-meer-ee) – Give thanks to God for the many people who heard the gospel as some believers came to the Kashmir Valley to lead discipleship and leadership trainings over the past two months! Pray specifically for those who are interested in learning more and who have been connected with believers in the area. Pray that they will continue to be open to the gospel, and ask that the believers will steward these opportunities well. Pray that they will believe in the only One who can save!

Tribe of Peace in Northern Africa
Please pray for a group of young Muslims who will begin going through a story set from the Bible this fall. Pray that the Holy Spirit will be preparing their hearts to receive the truth. Pray that they will be deeply affected by what they hear and ask good, honest questions. Ask the Holy Spirit to give the teacher the correct responses. Pray that the Word will be sown in hearts of good soil. “But those that were sown on the good soil are the ones who hear the word and accept it and bear fruit, thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold” (Mark 4:20 ESV).

Peoples of Maharashtra, India
(mah-huh-RAHSH-truh) – For years, two believing women have been sharing the Word of God weekly with a group of women who live and work in the red-light district of a major city. The work there is slow and often heartbreaking, and there are many setbacks. Ask the Lord to do what only He can do: open the eyes of these women to the truth of the gospel, release them from their addictions, and heal them from their pain. Pray for these two believing women not to grow weary in this work, but instead to be renewed daily in the Word.

South Mongolic Peoples, East Asia
Ask God to encourage those who are facing troubles at work due to their faith. One has been sent to a more remote area to work with no explanation. Ask God to give them peace and use them for His glory in their workplaces.

Twin Cities of North Africa
Naima recently had a believing friend over for tea and recounted to her a vivid dream that she’d had. In the dream, she was surrounded by darkness and felt trapped and hopeless. Then a Man dressed in white appeared, radiating light from both His presence and His face. When He touched her, the darkness disappeared, everything became bright, and she felt a profound sense of peace. When her friend asked whom she believed the Man was, Naima said that she didn’t know. The believer opened her Bible and showed Naima the description of Jesus when He was transfigured and “his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light” (Matthew 17:2 ESV). In an instant, Naima’s skepticism melted away, replaced by a spark of intrigue and a desire to read more from the Bible! The believer shared the gospel with Naima and plans to continue meeting with her. Please pray for Naima’s dream to become reality, for her to be brought from darkness into His glorious light! Soon after the first dream, Naima had a very demonic dream. Please pray against the evil one’s schemes! “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it” (John 1:5 ESV).

Mebo of Laos
(MEE-boh) – Nellie sells plants in the market. A Christian friend has repeatedly planted seeds of the gospel in numerous conversations with her. Nellie has a special needs daughter and a drug addicted son. Nellie’s husband stays home and takes care of their daughter while Nellie works to support all three. Additionally, Nellie’s husband is opposed to Christianity. Nellie said she would wait for her husband to die before accepting Jesus. Pray that Nellie will give her life Jesus and that her husband will have a change of heart and be open to the gospel so that the entire family can come to know Christ.

People of the Central Plains, Thailand
Pray for the believers in Ayutthaya to be encouraged and emboldened to share the gospel. God is already working, and seeds have been planted due to the faithfulness of believers. Please pray that those seeds will be deeply rooted and that hearts will turn toward the truth of God and not false idols.
