I watched the Inauguration of Donald John Trump on January 20, 2025. His list of what he would do on the first day of his presidency was not a surprise, but an omen of the possible actions, intensions, and legislative efforts, as time passes. Immigration, redefining that there are only male and female genders, stop supporting transgender people and any medical care they may receive, and other issues and concerns that I have about the next 4 years, like DOGE, whose sole purpose is to find perceived excesses in every department of the government and then have Congress pass legislation to eliminate perceived excesses. 🤦‍♂️🤨
Only time will tell, but I doubt anything good will be done and lots of misery for the Nation will be a daily result.

The Roman Catholic Church has lost its way under Pope Francis. The Traditional Latin Mass has been suppressed worldwide and many disaffected Catholics are leaving. Some are going to private chapels that offer the Traditional Latin Mass and there is sacred silence, praying the Rosary, the use of incense during the Mass, and services are well attended.

Today is the Third Sunday of Lent and in many countries around the world, the Holy Eucharist or Holy Mass has been cancelled over concerns surrounding the COVID-19 virus. Read the Epistle and Gospel Readings for today, pray that the spread of the virus will slow and be contained, and offer prayer for those already sick or in quarantine that they quickly recover. Remember that God is with us unto the end of the age. AMEN.

Today, JAN 25 is the day we celebrate the Conversion of St. Paul the Apostle (Acts 9 KJV). He is considered an Apostle because Jesus called Saul (later changing his name to Paul) directly while he was traveling to Damascus. Paul was to go on to travel extensively throughout the Middle-East and to Rome. He was sentenced to death, but because he was a Roman citizen, he was given a quick death by beheading, which only citizens of the Roman Empire were allowed to have done, rather than crucifixtion or some other form of slow, painful death.

Of the 27 books of the New Testament, 13 are attributed to Saint Paul as well as nearly half of the Acts of the Apostles deals with Paul's life and works.

The Anglocatholic Church

The Anglocatholic Church is both Anglican and Catholic. Our roots are based upon the Scriptures contained in the Holy Bible, the Early Church Fathers, the First Seven Ecumenical Councils, and the Seven Sacraments as established from the beginning by the One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic Church. We believe in the Apostles’ Creed, the Nicene (Nicene-Constantinopolitan) Creed, and the Athanasian Creed.

While the Eastern (Orthodox) Church denied and refused to use the ‘Filioque’ (and the Son) clause in the Nicene Creed as promulgated by the Western (Roman Catholic) Church (Third Council of Toledo - 589 AD), some Christians will accept ‘per Filium’ (through the Son).

Only men are allowed to become deacons, priests, or bishops and may be married before ordination. Our Code of Canon Law gives specific instructions on the formation, training, and ordination of postulants.

We use the Anglican Liturgy, the Old Catholic Mass (Diocese of St. Giles the Hermit), or the current Missale Romanum, if appropriate (Diocese of St. Giles the Hermit). We observe sacred silence before, during, and after the Divinie Liturgy.
