🚨 URGENT: Protect the Bee Bill – Oppose the Tarr Amendment 🚨

Our bill is now in Senate Reading, and an amendment has been proposed that would severely weaken it.

The proposed amendment would allow local governments to override the Commissioner of Agriculture anytime they claim beekeeping “has the potential to interfere” with investment.

This would:
• Undermine statewide consistency
• Open the door to local bans, fees, or permitting requirements
• Allow subjective claims about “property values” to restrict beekeeping

This amendment defeats the purpose of the bill.
