At Shenandoah Memorial United Methodist Church today, we continued to celebrate Ava Williamson as recipient of the Robyn Lance Memorial Nursing Scholarship. Today, Ava was presented a $1,000 check by Terry and Loria Headlee and was given a stethoscope with her name engraved, by Nicholas Lance. Two weeks ago Ava was given the $1,500 Robyn Lance Memorial Nursing Scholarship for 2026. We wish Ava all the best in her upcoming nursing studies at Shepherd University this fall.

Today during our service, we remembered our good friend and former Millville resident, Carolyn Morris Ott. Her girls, Maureen, Belinda, and Priscilla, as well as some of their children were in attendance.
Carol served the church in many rolls during the time of her attendance - she sang in the choir, taught the preschool class in Sunday School, helped organize Vacation Bible School, wrote our Christmas plays and Easter cantata, served as president of the Sunday School department, wrote our church newsletter, and so many more things.
As a church, we are very grateful to her and her family for their commitment to our church, Shenandoah Memorial United Methodist Church, and to the Millville community.

This Sunday, May 17, our church service will be a little extra special. We plan to spend time remembering Carolyn Ott and the many things she did for our church and our Millville community.
Also, we will continue our celebration of Ava Williamson receiving the Robyn Lance Memorial Nursing Scholarship.
Let me also mention that Terry Headlee, lay servant will be doing the preaching and conducting the service.
Come and worship with us. Service starts at 10:30 AM. All are welcome.

Happy Mother's Day! Today we celebrated by giving our oldest mother, Mildred Hooe and youngest mother, Tammy Ingram bright yellow flowers they can plant, as well as flowers and a birdhouse to all mothers in attendance.
It was wonderful to see Dylan accompany his grandmother, Donna Faye, to church on this blessed Mother's Day.
