We may never be the martyrs we read of in scripture; but we can die to self, to sin, to the world, to our plans and ambitions. That is the significance of baptism; we died with Christ and rose to new life.

“Now why do you delay? Get up and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on His name.” Acts 22:16 NASB

Yesterday, 15 believers made a public profession of faith and were baptized. 1 infant was dedicated to the Lord as his parents vowed to raise him according to His word. We celebrated along with all of heaven.
