Sometimes the most important ministries are the ones people never see.
The RHM MercyHouse is one of those places.
The RHM MercyHouse is a home where women can begin again. Some of the young women living here have been removed from their homes because of abuse or abandonment. Others have arrived with young children, carrying burdens that no one should have to carry alone.
Inside the RHM MercyHouse they find something many of them have never had before:
• Stability
• Safety
• A church family that loves them
• The Word of God being taught and lived out
• Opportunities to serve others
• Guidance toward employment and independence
They learn to rebuild their lives step by step, learning practical skills, growing in faith, and discovering that they are deeply loved by God.
But rebuilding a life takes time.
Many of the women who arrive at the RHM MercyHouse come with no income at all. Some have never even held a job before. In the beginning, the ministry carries the full weight of helping them stabilize and start over.
As you can imagine, the financial burden is significant.
There are the normal costs of running a home such as utilities, food, clothing, and transportation. There are also the many costs involved in helping women rebuild their lives and care for their children.
Recently, the energy crisis has put a serious strain on our finances, and we are now in a place where we urgently need help from those who believe in what God is doing here.
Because the RHM MercyHouse is a secure and protected home, we cannot share its location or photographs of the residents. But we can tell you this.
We are watching lives change.
We are watching young women come to know Christ, learn to drive, find jobs, care for their children, and experience the love of a church family for the first time in their lives.
It is beautiful.
It is holy work.
And we cannot continue it without help.
