Tuesday evenings, March 10th, 17th, and 24th at 5:30 pm – POTLUCK DINNER & “THE WAY” - In partnership with Holy Family Episcopal. On three Tuesdays in March, we will gather in our Fellowship Hall for a potluck dinner, view portions of The Way, and share in conversation with our friends from Holy Family Episcopal. These evenings will be relaxed and welcoming—a chance to reflect on our own life journeys and walk alongside friends.

The Way (2010), written and directed by Emilio Estevez and starring Martin Sheen, tells the story of an American doctor who travels to France to complete the 500-mile Camino de Santiago pilgrimage in his son’s honor. What begins as a reluctant obligation becomes a transformative pilgrimage. Along the road, he encounters fellow travelers from around the world, forming unlikely friendships and discovering unexpected healing. The film thoughtfully explores the tension between “the life we live and the life we choose,” inviting reflection on empathy, forgiveness, grief, and spiritual growth.

For the second week in a row, we will not gather in person this Sunday and will instead meet on Zoom for worship. While this isn’t what any of us would choose, I trust that staying safe is an act of care for one another—and that God still meets us wherever we are.

There has been so much unfolding in our nation over these past weeks. Many of us are carrying worry, anger, grief, fatigue, or uncertainty. In moments like this, worship matters. Even online, gathering matters. We come not to escape the world, but to remember who we are and whose we are.

This Sunday’s scriptures are the Beatitudes and Micah 6:8—two of my very favorite passages, and ones where our call as Christians is beautifully clear: to love mercy, to do justice, to walk humbly with God; to stand with the poor in spirit, the meek, the peacemakers. My hope is that worship will be a place where we can breathe, listen, and be reminded that God’s vision for the world is rooted in justice, compassion, and hope.

I look forward to seeing your faces on Zoom this Sunday at 11am and trusting that God will meet us there.
With gratitude and hope,
