Today, Thursday, June 4th is a first Thursday of the month, and our Food Pantry is open today from 10 AM to 1 PM. If you need help with food, and live in the 38053 zip code in Shelby County, please call the pantry at (901) 872-2771 when it opens to schedule an appointment to come and pick up food today. When calling, if you get a message that says "voicemail" or "not taking calls" it means our volunteers are on the phone with another patron, please keep redialing until you get through. Please share. During the Children’s Moment in today’s worship service Pastor Amanda said we are here because of what the Disciples learned from Jesus and passed down to others. Through kindness and sharing we can live lives like the Disciples.

Following worship we shared a Fellowship Potluck meal which included a “human scavenger hunt” to learn more about each other. There also was a prayer bead making station to make prayer beads in preparation for our summer worship series which will focus on The Lord’s Prayer.

We invite you to join us for Sunday worship tomorrow in-person and live-streaming here on Facebook at 10 AM. Sunday School for all ages is at 8:50 AM. It's Trinity Sunday! On this Pentecost Sunday we celebrated the Baptism and Confirmations of two of our young disciples. Pastor Amanda explained Baptism and shared the good news of God’s love and how his gift of the Holy Spirit was given to us to share his love with others. Our Choir also offered the beautiful anthem 🎶Spirit Come, Make Us One.🎶✝️🔥

During the Children’s Moment in today’s worship service, Pastor Amanda shared a magic trick moving a paper clip on a rubber band. She said Jesus surprised the disciples through the resurrection and the ways he appeared to them. We are the current witnesses of God’s love, and we can share that love with others through love and kindness.
