Christ’s ascension matters — his glorified body is in heaven (Acts 1), so the Supper must be spiritual, not physical.

Jesus’ words matter — “This is my body” must mean more than symbol, but not physical transformation.

Paul’s theology matters — the cup and bread are a real koinonia (participation) in Christ (1 Cor. 10:16), which fits a spiritual, faith‑mediated presence.

The Spirit’s role matters — the Spirit unites believers to the risen Christ, making communion real, not imaginary.
