A faith that never challenges us
will never change us!

There should be evidence in our lives that Jesus has told us “no,” too. Following Jesus means allowing Him to correct our desires, confront our disobedience, and redirect our choices—even when His answer is not what we want to hear.

A maturing faith doesn’t just obey when Jesus says “yes” to what we desire; it also surrenders when He says “no” to what we want.

Because real faith is not just trusting Jesus to give us what we want, but trusting Him enough to accept what He knows is best for us. 🤍🙏🏻

The earliest followers of Jesus understood that spiritual growth doesn't happen by accident. They devoted themselves to practices that kept them close to God and connected to one another.

John Wesley described these practices—Scripture, prayer, worship, Holy Communion, and Christian fellowship—as the means of grace. These are the ordinary ways God continues to strengthen, encourage, and transform His people.

As our Methodist Roots series concludes, may this verse remind us that the Christian life is one of daily devotion to Christ and continual dependence upon His grace.

May we faithfully seek Him through the means He has graciously provided and encourage others to do the same.
