Friends,
Believe it or not, back to school season is right around the corner. Our July missions project is to collect school supplies to help kids and families in our community. Please check the lists and bring items with you to church meetings. Thanks for helping!

"Why would you do it?
Why would you follow the One who embodied love and justice, and embody them yourself, fully knowing that your own body could be destroyed in the process?
Maybe the answer is found in what Jesus said to John the Baptist: 'It is necessary to fulfill all righteousness.'
Why follow? It's necessary.
Because, at the end of the day
--this day, I hope,
will someone...
-who has been left out or kicked out
-who has been trampled on
-who has been insulted
-who has been disowned by family
-who has been shunned by religion
-who has been oppressed by politics
-who has been threatened by power...
Will they know love and justice?
And is it possible they would find that from you, a follower of Jesus, who keeps on following because someone needs you to?"

We will meet for worship this Sunday morning at 11:00 a.m. Of course, please err on the side of caution. If it's too icy for you to get out, stay home, be safe and warm. But if you can make it, we will see you as we gather together.

We are watching the weather again this weekend. We will make a determination about services by 8am on Sunday, unless what comes our way on Saturday is quite convincing. Stay tuned.
