This was a bitter sweet weekend at Woodland Union Church. Saturday we had a memorial service for Dennis Brinkley, a life long member of Woodland and a dear friend who served God faithfully. Over 200 people were at his service to share with the family their love and support. This was one of the hardest services for me as a pastor, but it was sweetened as Sunday at our Worship Service at the Plecker Picnic Shelter, I had the privilege of baptizing 4 on profession of faith, with two joining the church! I am thankful for our Woodland Church family, and while this was a hard weekend for many, we also experienced how God is constantly at work in making divine appointments as our lesson in Acts 8 of the eu**ch who found Jesus through the witness of Phillip. We serve a Great God!
