*THIRD YEAR ANNIVERSARY*

In 2017, Broughton Lumber Co. donated an acre of land for a community cemetery. Community members of diverse backgrounds and faiths worked closely together, contributing over $30,000 and hundreds of hours of legal, administrative, design, planning, land clearing, cleanup, and other services to open the Evergreen Community Cemetery in 2019.

The Evergreen Community Cemetery, although managed by the Evergreen Community Church as a community service, is not associated with any particular philosophy or religion. Individuals are welcome to place religious symbols on their own plot markers, but no religious symbols will be affixed to the cemetery itself after the permanent sign is installed this summer.
