In 2000, Pope St. John Paul II established the second Sunday of Easter as Divine Mercy Sunday, promoting the devotion that began with St. Faustina Kowalska, whom Jesus revealed His profound message of mercy to.

“God of everlasting mercy, who in the very recurrence of the paschal feast kindle the faith of the people you have made your own, increase, we pray, the grace you have bestowed, that all may grasp and rightly understand in what font they have been washed, by whose Spirit they have been reborn, by whose Blood they have been redeemed. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.” (Collect Prayer of the Mass for the Second Sunday of Easter)

Vivat Jesus! Alleluia!

Lord Jesus, walk with us when we are downcast and open our hearts to the truth of Your Word. Through the intercession of Blessed Michael McGivney, help us to recognize Your presence in our daily lives and in the breaking of the bread. May the fire of Your love burn within us, giving us the courage to witness to Your Resurrection in everything we do. Amen.

THIS IS FOR ALL OUR BROTHER KNIGHTS

My brothers,

Can you please post the following request to all of the Knights in our council on email and then on our website/social media? I only have a few people committed for the parade. Thanks: LC

My Brothers,

With St. Patrick’s Day approaching, it’s time to lace up our walking shoes and show our pride! We are officially marching in the St. Patrick’s Parade in Milford on
March 21, and we need a strong showing from our Council to lead the way.

We will be joined by Knights from three other local councils, as well as our Patriotic Degree who will be leading the parade. This makes a fantastic opportunity for fraternity and visibility in our community. To keep us looking sharp and unified, please wear your K of C branded gear—shirts, jackets, or hats.

The rally time is at 1:00 pm at the Parish Hall. The parade starts at 3:00 at the Ann Street Park. Your reward will be bangers and mash for lunch. We need brother Knights to help carry the St. Patrick’s Statue, flags and banners.

Whether you can carry a flag or simply march alongside your brothers, your presence makes a difference. Let’s make a great impression and honor our St. Patrick and John Paul ll Council together.

Vivat Jesus!

Today we celebrate St. Valentine, not just candy hearts and roses, but courageous, sacrificial love. ❤️

According to tradition, Valentine was a priest who continued to witness and bless Christian marriages at a time when it was forbidden. He believed love was worth defending. He believed marriage was worth protecting, and he ultimately gave his life for that conviction.

Real love isn’t just a feeling. It’s a choice. It’s faithful. It’s brave.

On this Valentine’s Day, let’s thank God for the gift of love, in marriage, in friendship, in family life, and ask for the grace to love with strength and self-gift, not just sentiment.

St. Valentine, pray for us.

Council 15804 in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ukraine organized the Knights of Columbus Cup, a spirited sports competition for children impacted by war—including orphans, displaced youth, and those who have lost parents. The event provided not only athletic fun, but also healing, unity, and a sense of normalcy amid ongoing turmoil.

Rooted in Blessed Michael McGivney’s mission to support families in crisis, the program deepened solidarity among volunteers and Knights while offering hope to young participants. Winning the 2025 Family Program of the Year Award affirmed their impact and inspired continued service.

On Feb. 8, the Church honors St. Josephine Bakhita, patron of those impacted by human trafficking. Kidnapped and enslaved as a child in Sudan in the late-19th century, she later became a religious sister and humbly served her community in Italy for more than 50 years. Her feast day coincides with the Church’s International Day of Prayer and Awareness Against Human Trafficking.

Today, the Knights of Columbus is part of a global effort to combat human trafficking and modern forms of slavery — including forced labor, sexual exploitation and forced marriage — which affect millions of people worldwide. Partnering with religious communities, the Arise Foundation and other organizations in countries such as the Philippines, Nigeria and Ukraine, the Order seeks to bring safety, healing and hope to survivors and those at risk.
