Chabad House - Jewish Center

Chabad House - Jewish Center Simply put, Chabad's mission is to reach out to others with acts of goodness and kindness.

The Chabad Jewish Community Center in Milford is dedicated to providing an open door environment for strengthening and enhancing Jewish family life for every Jew regardless of background, affiliation, philosophy, or level of commitment. We're a community-based nonprofit organization whose efforts are rooted in traditional Jewish values -- and many of our programs help the needy regardless of back

ground or belief. Since Chabad came to Milford in October of 2001 Rabbi Mendy and Rochy Kivman have been actively working to create a sense of Jewish community in the greater Milford and MetroWest area. Chabad runs the local chapter of a network of educational and nonsectarian social services under Jewish auspices. Thanks to our generous supporters, we have been able to educate, comfort, and give hope to countless people in need. The Chabad Jewish Community Center is part of the largest Jewish organization in the world, with over 2,700 branches spanning the globe. Chabad embraces a philosophy of study, meditation, and social outreach that combines rigorous academics with proactive community involvement. Our rapidly growing array of educational and social services programs has made us one of the most dynamic forces in modern Jewish life. "Chabad" is a Hebrew acronym for "Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge," and Lubavitch is the town in White Russia where the movement was based for more than a century. (The word "Lubavitch" actually means 'brotherly love," which is emblematic of the love and dedication that characterizes Chabad Lubavitch and its representatives.) Founded in 1772 by Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, Chabad promotes the mystical, traditional, legal and social principles of the Torah -- while using modern methods and technology for education, community outreach, youth programs, crisis intervention, and other social services. The RebbeChabad has consistently been at the forefront of Jewish education and community activism. The work of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe who assumed leadership of the movement in 1950, is legendary. Motivated by a profound love for humanity and spurred by boundless optimism, the Rebbe lifted the global Jewish community from the ashes of the Holocaust and launched an unprecedented range of Jewish institutions, outreach programs and social services. Around the globe, more than 4,000 of the Rebbe's emissaries and a workforce of over 20,000, work to fulfhis mission to create a world of goodness, kindness and G-dliness with the revelation of Moshiach. We invite you to learn more about Chabad, and welcome your support of our charitable efforts.

Words don’t do justice to how beautiful our sanctuary looks with our brand-new Paroches (Ark cover)! 😍

We had the honor of unveiling it this Shavuot, and everyone is mesmerized by the stunning 3D perspective. The design creates an incredible illusion of a pathway leading directly into the Beis Hamikdash. 🏛️✨

A huge thank you to Rachamim and Jamie Armin for this magnificent donation. Your generosity has truly transformed our space and inspired our community! ❤️

Good food, great company, and unforgettable insights! ✨

Our recent Women’s Book Club Luncheon was an absolute beautiful afternoon. We gathered together to dive into "The Forgiveness Experience," sharing a delicious lunch, endless laughter, and meaningful conversations. It was so special to see familiar faces and welcome new friends into our circle.

The highlight of the day? A surprise guest! The author himself, Rabbi Yisroel Bernath, zoomed in to join us. He shared incredible, deep insights that left us all feeling inspired and uplifted. 📖❤️

Thank you to all the amazing women who joined us and made the afternoon so vibrant. Stay tuned for our next read!

The Rebbe teaches that no soul should ever be forgotten or left behind.

Behind every inmate number is a human being — a person with worth, dignity, and the ability to grow.

We are honored to receive this recognition from the Department of Corrections for the prison chaplaincy work focused on compassion, encouragement, and human connection for those who are often forgotten.
