Chabad House - Jewish Center

Chabad House - Jewish Center Simply put, Chabad's mission is to reach out to others with acts of goodness and kindness.

The Chabad Jewish Community Center in Milford is dedicated to providing an open door environment for strengthening and enhancing Jewish family life for every Jew regardless of background, affiliation, philosophy, or level of commitment. We're a community-based nonprofit organization whose efforts are rooted in traditional Jewish values -- and many of our programs help the needy regardless of back

ground or belief. Since Chabad came to Milford in October of 2001 Rabbi Mendy and Rochy Kivman have been actively working to create a sense of Jewish community in the greater Milford and MetroWest area. Chabad runs the local chapter of a network of educational and nonsectarian social services under Jewish auspices. Thanks to our generous supporters, we have been able to educate, comfort, and give hope to countless people in need. The Chabad Jewish Community Center is part of the largest Jewish organization in the world, with over 2,700 branches spanning the globe. Chabad embraces a philosophy of study, meditation, and social outreach that combines rigorous academics with proactive community involvement. Our rapidly growing array of educational and social services programs has made us one of the most dynamic forces in modern Jewish life. "Chabad" is a Hebrew acronym for "Wisdom, Understanding and Knowledge," and Lubavitch is the town in White Russia where the movement was based for more than a century. (The word "Lubavitch" actually means 'brotherly love," which is emblematic of the love and dedication that characterizes Chabad Lubavitch and its representatives.) Founded in 1772 by Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi, Chabad promotes the mystical, traditional, legal and social principles of the Torah -- while using modern methods and technology for education, community outreach, youth programs, crisis intervention, and other social services. The RebbeChabad has consistently been at the forefront of Jewish education and community activism. The work of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, the Lubavitcher Rebbe who assumed leadership of the movement in 1950, is legendary. Motivated by a profound love for humanity and spurred by boundless optimism, the Rebbe lifted the global Jewish community from the ashes of the Holocaust and launched an unprecedented range of Jewish institutions, outreach programs and social services. Around the globe, more than 4,000 of the Rebbe's emissaries and a workforce of over 20,000, work to fulfhis mission to create a world of goodness, kindness and G-dliness with the revelation of Moshiach. We invite you to learn more about Chabad, and welcome your support of our charitable efforts.

What an incredible time we had! 💙

There is nothing quite like the energy of coming together, sharing laughs, and connecting while rushing against the clock. We proved that you don't need days of prep to make a beautiful, meaningful Shabbat—just great company and a little teamwork!

In under just one hour, we managed to whip up an entire delicious menu from scratch:
✨ Warm, fresh Challah
✨ Flavorful dips & a crisp salad
✨ Perfectly seasoned salmon
✨ Comforting matzah ball soup
✨ Sweet apple kugel
✨ Fresh blueberry muffins

The food turned out amazing, but the best part was absolutely the laughter and connections made around the kitchen counters. Best of all, everyone got to pack up containers of everything we made to take home and enjoy for Shabbos! 🥡✨

Thank you to everyone who came out, rolled up their sleeves, and brought so much joy to the room.

Can’t wait for the next one! 🕒🍲🥖
